Prowess
The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Expertise (WECOE) has been set up by Advantage West Midlands, in partnership with Prowess, to provide strategic support for the development of women’s enterprise across the region. Only 14% of businesses in the West Midlands are currently majority-owned by women, and encouraging more women into business is essential for the region’s economy. One of WECOE’s key aims is to ensure there is an effective ‘women-friendly’ business support infrastructure and enterprise culture across the region, and it’s working closely with Business Link to ensure women receive quality advice and training from the business support networks.
